Organizing Goddess, Inc., was founded in 2006 by Sharon Lowenheim, MBA, MSE. Sharon spent over 20 years working for three of the world’s largest corporations (Mobil, Philip Morris, and Pfizer). She saw firsthand how the accelerating pace of incoming information has made staying organized increasingly difficult, and how the so-called "time-saving tools" of today have made things worse instead of better.
Sharon is a native New Yorker: born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, and living in Manhattan for most of her adult life. She has never lived in a house -- only in apartments – and has never owned a car. She has spent a lifetime developing techniques for living happily and comfortably in small spaces. Sharon graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. She did her graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Masters degree in Computer Science as well as an MBA from the Wharton School. Sharon is the Vice President of the New York Chapter of NAPO (National Association of Professional Organizers). She is also on the Executive Board of the PTA of East Side Middle School and on the board of the St. Jean's Players. She is a Past President of the BNI Manhattan-Midtown chapter and was recognized as “2008 President of the Year” by Manhattan BNI for “outstanding Presidential leadership”. She belongs to the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, and is a subscriber to the NSGCD (National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization).
